Bitget Wallet Launches Stablecoin-Powered Virtual Card in Nigeria

Bitget Wallet has launched a virtual payment card in Nigeria, allowing users to spend stablecoin balances at Visa merchants worldwide, expanding the use of crypto for everyday payments.

The Bitget Wallet Card is issued through the wallet app and supports Google Pay for online and contactless transactions. Users can also earn up to 3% cashback through the company’s Assetback program, with rewards available in USDC, Bitcoin, gold, and tokenized stocks or ETFs.

The launch targets Nigeria’s growing crypto market, which received over $92.1 billion in crypto value between July 2024 and June 2025, according to Chainalysis.

Beyond the card, Bitget Wallet provides USD and EUR virtual accounts for receiving international transfers and converting funds into stablecoins. It also offers local transfers that convert stablecoins into naira for deposits into Nigerian bank accounts. The launch comes as Nigeria continues to develop its regulatory framework for digital assets under the Investments and Securities Act 2025.

The virtual card expands Bitget Wallet’s payment services in Nigeria, giving users another way to move between stablecoins and everyday spending without relying solely on traditional banking channels.
