Cyberchain Junior Equips Nigerian Secondary School Students with AI Ethics and Digital Innovation Skills at Inaugural YDEIP
Cyberchain Junior, in collaboration with American Space Abuja and with support from Adaura AI, today hosted the Youth Digital Ethics & Innovation Program (YDEIP), a half-day initiative that introduced secondary school students to artificial intelligence, digital ethics, and emerging technology careers.

Held under the theme "Using AI Responsibly to Shape the Future," the program brought students to American Space Abuja, Wuse Zone 4, for a morning of keynote presentations, live technology demonstrations, and interactive discussion designed to build both technical literacy and ethical judgment.

A centerpiece of the event was a presentation of AI Ethics for High School Students by its young author, Jason Ozinegbe, who walked students through how artificial intelligence already shapes their daily lives from search engines and streaming recommendations to social media and voice assistants while reinforcing a central message: AI is a tool, and responsibility for its use remains firmly in human hands.

Students were also introduced to Adaura AI, an all-in-one AI creativity platform, and KrossBuild, an AI-native blockchain development platform, gaining hands-on exposure to how AI is reshaping creativity, software development, and entrepreneurship.

"Empowering the African youth through tech education is not just a mission statement; it's the work we do every day," said Engr. Jude Ozinegbe, who introduced Cyberchain Junior's five learning pillars of artificial intelligence, blockchain technology, cybersecurity, data science, and digital ethics to attendees.

Mrs. Rosemary Alli Onyemaechi, Director of American Space Abuja, welcomed participants and underscored the importance of preparing young Nigerians for a rapidly evolving digital economy. The program closed with an interactive student panel, an innovation brainstorming session, and networking activities, leaving students with practical grounding in algorithmic bias, fairness, privacy, and explainable AI concepts increasingly central to responsible technology use worldwide.

YDEIP directly advances UN Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 5 (Gender Equality) and marks the beginning of an expanded slate of Cyberchain Junior initiatives, including AI & Blockchain Clubs, a Web3 Spelling Bee, innovation challenges, and youth mentorship programs planned for rollout across Nigeria.
